Our Story...

Fire Healthcare was established in 2020 by founders Rodney Burt, Michael Carter and Jadon Connis in response to the challenges presented by the Coronavirus Pandemic. Recognising the temporary impact of government restrictions on our hospitality brand, Fire Hospitality, which operates in the Hospitality Sector, we took a proactive and strategic approach. This led us to pivot our focus towards healthcare and establish Fire Healthcare.


By making this deliberate shift, we were able to retain our valued chefs, front of house, and back of house staff. We provided them with retraining opportunities to ensure their continued employment. Additionally, we took measures to enhance their eligibility to work, including conducting enhanced DBS checks and registering them on the DBS update service.


During the COVID-19 pandemic, our company embarked on a collaborative venture with Hampshire County Council and Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. This partnership led to the successful implementation of catering services for a Nightingale facility, marking a significant milestone for our organisation. Building on this achievement, we have subsequently extended our offerings to include the provision of highly skilled chefs, general assistants, and kitchen porters to care homes, hospitals, schools and other establishments operating within secure environments..
