HR Manager

Our client has a collection of international hospitality properties, with a collection in the UK which encompasses distinct properties across the country. The organisation is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the full human resources function across this portfolio on a permanent basis. Reporting to the UK Cluster General Manager, the successful candidate will take responsibility for recruitment, employee relations, employment compliance, payroll administration, payroll budgeting, training and employee development.

The role offers a salary of £38,000 to £50,000 and the opportunity to shape people strategy across a diverse hospitality estate.

  • Work closely with senior management and departmental heads to build capable, productive teams and strengthen management practices
Preferred Requirements
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or equivalent, managing the full HR function within a multi-site or complex organisational structure
  • Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, employee relations, and employment law compliance
  • Proficiency with payroll administration and budgeting, ideally with experience using Fourth or similar systems
  • Strong capability in training programme design and employee development initiatives
  • Ability to translate people priorities into practical improvements that support business performance and guest service standards
Authority and Accountability

The HR Manager owns HR processes, payroll administration, reporting and follow-up across the portfolio. Line managers remain accountable for managing their teams, departmental performance, attendance, rosters and service delivery.

The postholder must operate within approved budgets, policies and delegated authority. Recruitment, salary changes, promotions, contractual changes and termination decisions require the applicable approvals.

    Chief Corporate Development Officer and relevant Head Office functions.
  • Employees across the UK portfolio.
  • External employment advisers, payroll support providers, occupational health providers and training partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent professional HR qualification
  • Ideally have familiarity with Fourth Software
  • Experience in the hospitality, leisure, or service sector
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice in roster management and workforce planning.
  • Experience improving HR processes, developing managers and implementing organisational change.
