FIRE Healthcare enters a New Chapter

FIRE Healthcare was established in 2020 by founders Rodney Burt, Michael Carter and Jadon Connis, following the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. With our hospitality business significantly impacted by government restrictions, we took a proactive approach, retraining and retaining our chefs, front-of-house and back-of-house teams while moving into healthcare catering. Enhanced DBS checks and DBS Update Service registration enabled our people to work within regulated environments.

During the pandemic,

FIRE Healthcare worked alongside Hampshire County Council and Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, successfully delivering catering services for a Nightingale facility. In April 2024, we returned to our hospitality roots with a renewed focus on DBS Catering, supplying skilled chefs, general assistants and kitchen porters to care homes, hospitals, schools and other secure environments.

A new chapter for FIRE Healthcare

We are now excited to relaunch our dedicated FIRE Healthcare recruitment division, welcoming Jake May as Director of Healthcare Recruitment. With his strong background in healthcare recruitment, Jake will lead the development of our temporary and permanent recruitment services across the care sector, connecting care organisations with skilled and reliable people.

Our aim is simple: to build strong, long-term relationships with both clients and candidates and provide recruitment solutions built around quality, compliance and people.
