The Role
Our client, a highly regarded multiple Rosette restaurant operation, based in the New Forest, is looking for a passionate and creative Pastry Chef to join their established and talented kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Pastry Chef/Head Pastry Chef to take responsibility for the pastry section within a quality operation, producing exceptional plated desserts, afternoon teas and pastry work using fresh, seasonal produce.
Working closely with the Executive Chef, you will have genuine creative input into the menus, with the opportunity to develop new ideas and put your own stamp on the pastry offering.
The kitchen is modern, spacious and exceptionally well equipped, providing an excellent environment in which to work.
About You
We are looking for a Pastry Chef with a strong background in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment, with multiple Rosette experience, who is passionate about their craft and takes real pride in producing exceptional pastry.
You will ideally:
- Have strong experience leading a pastry section within a high quality restaurant or hotel
- Have excellent plated dessert experience
- Have strong pastry skills and chocolate work experience
- Be creative, with a genuine interest in developing new desserts and ideas
- Have excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation
- Be organised, clean and tidy in your approach
- Have a good understanding of allergens and food safety
- Be a confident communicator and a strong team player
- Be passionate, motivated and enthusiastic about your trade
- Enjoy developing junior members of the team
- Be keen to grow and develop within the business
