We are delighted to be partnering with a beautiful hotel located in the heart of the New Forest to recruit a talented and motivated head chef. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional looking to take the next step into a leadership-focused role within a scenic and well-regarded hospitality setting.

As the head chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality food for guests. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in service while also overseeing operations, food production, and team performance.

  • Salary of £41,500 per annum, based on a 40-hour week over 5 days (including weekends and bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a small kitchen team, maintaining excellent standards of food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment in line with all health and safety regulations
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and food cost management
  • Manage smooth day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Work closely with front-of-house teams to deliver an outstanding guest experience
The Ideal Candidate:

Our client is open to candidates stepping up into their first head chef position, making this an ideal move for a Senior Sous Chef/Sous Chef, or an existing head chef seeking a fresh environment.

Must have:
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
  • Genuine passion for a high standard of food quality and customer service
  • Willingness to develop skills in kitchen management, systems, and cost control (full training provided)
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • A proactive and positive approach to team leadership
