A prestigious school in Winchester is seeking a passionate Chef to join its professional catering team on a full-time, term time contract.
The Role
- Prepare fresh, high-quality meals for pupils and staff
- Work across all kitchen sections, including hot kitchen, pastry, larder, desserts, and bakery
- Produce cakes, traybakes, biscuits, and desserts from scratch
- Run kitchen shifts independently (approx. 80 covers daily)
- Support hospitality, functions, receptions, afternoon teas, and special events
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance
- Experienced Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
- Strong all-round fresh food skills, including pastry
- Confident leading a kitchen shift independently
- Experience in schools, contract catering, hotels, or events desirable
- Organised, reliable, and team-focused
- 40 hours per week
