Claire started working in Hospitality Recruitment back in 2000, for a small independent agency based in Woking, Surrey. The plan was only to do it for a couple of years, and 20 odd years later she is still in the industry.

 

Having spent some time working for high street agency, Blue Arrow, back in the early 2000’s, where she first met Fire Group’s Sales Director, Rodney, Claire spent the majority of her recruitment life managing a specialist Hospitality and Catering agency in Guildford, covering both temporary and permanent placements across Surrey and North Hampshire. Her ethos in Surrey was always to provide the best quality candidates to her clients, and deliver first class customer service. Claire joined Fire Group in September 2022, where she is focussed on adopting the same ethos, and strives to be the best recruitment agency in the south.

 

Like most of Fire’s recruitment team, Claire started her working life working in hospitality, so has first-hand experience of the roles she is recruiting for. The hospitality industry is tough, and hard work, and recruiting for the industry is just as hard, at the same time hospitality creates the very best in teamwork and moral, and some of Claire’s best friends are old work colleagues and clients. Recruitment is tougher than ever, clients and candidates have much higher expectations, but Claire’s motivation is that you still can’t beat the feeling of finding a great candidate for the right role, or a team of staff all arriving on time, in the correct uniform with a big smile on their faces.

 

Most of Claire’s spare time is taken up by her crazy Cocker Spaniel, Harvey, who is often the welcome committee in Fire Group’s Head Office. Like many, she found a new passion for baking during lockdown, and often makes speciality cakes for friends and family – There have been a few in the office! When not in the kitchen, she likes to explore the local areas, particularly the coastal routes, including trying local pubs and restaurants - having only recently relocated to the Southampton area, she has a lot to explore!
