This pub is a traditional independent village pub with loads of character and history, renowned for quality hospitality, homemade food and a warm welcome. We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Pub Chef to join our friendly kitchen team.
About the Role
- Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality pub classics and daily specials.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.
- Supporting menu development and seasonal specials.
- Working closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Helping to maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
- Due to the nature of the business, you will be expected to work both independently during quieter periods and collaboratively as part of a team during busy services.
- Enjoy a high degree of autonomy and creativity, working alongside the Group Chef and General Manager to develop seasonal menus, daily specials and new dishes that reflect the quality and character of the pub.
- Previous experience as a Senior Chef de partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef in a pub, restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Ability to work confidently and efficiently on your own as well as within a team.
- Passion for fresh food and quality ingredients.
- A creative approach to menu development and a desire to contribute ideas.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and team spirit.
- Competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum
